Happy Friday!

TZIF! Thank Zeus it's Friday! If christians can thank a mythical god for good things that happen and things that are inevitable (like Fridays), why can't do the same?

I think the christian god has had exclusive rights to Fridays for too long! It's time to dethrone him! So before some christian can recite their tag line, why not throw them a curve ball by thanking some other mythical character? I find it really freaks them out and often prompts some very interesting conversations...

Happy Friday, everyone!

Too funny! I like TZIF! Of course, there's always THIF, which you can say like "this" only with a lisp. (Thank Hercules)
I recently did a post entitled,

My Sunday Sermon: Modern Mythology

Thanks for the alternative acronym. I will coming back to your site!

It should totally be "Thank Frey It's Friday", since it was named after him to begin with...

Oh heck I still cuss and say Jesus Christ that hurts when I bang my head so I may not change my acronym quite yet but yours makes much more sense!!

Being Scandinavian, I'm more inclined to thank Odin. Or if we want to thank the correct god(ess) for Friday: Freya.

Monday = Moon's day
Tuesday = Tyr's day
Wednesday = Odin's day
Thursday = Thor's day
Friday = Freyja's day
Saturday = washing day (no, really. Scrub scrub wash wash @__@ )
Sunday = Sun's day
