For some reason, pro-life Christians think their God is against abortion and baby-killing. I don't get it! There are lots of examples to the contrary in the Bible. I mean, who has killed more babies than the Christian God? Have you read these passages?Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
Exodus 12:29 "And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt..."
2 Samuel 12:14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.
Isaiah 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
Isaiah 13:18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
Isaiah 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
Numbers 31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
I ask you... How can Christians carry that book around and swear by it's contents, but have absolutely no fucking idea what it says? Amazing!!!

So, it gave me the idea for an experiment, a cruel one... In a discussion forum on my national wikipedia i played the part of a christian guy against abortion. To support my view, I simply listed in an article the location of the sentences you reported from the Bible, claiming they mean that God is against abortion.
Result? After 24 hours nobody (nobody!) of the persons discussing the topic (i asked for help to the "catholic users" to check and complete my edit) has yet replied that those sentences in the book do support assassination of kids!!

The Bible is so ful lof bloodshed and crap like that ..amazing we have not all thrown our hands up in the air and said I quit this is nuts! I am a recent atheist..sure do feel better about life too.

Pro-choicers sure are funny. For all those people who claim that God is unjust for allowing people who openly defied Him to die, they sure know how to kill living beings by the thousands. Thank goodness, though, that we had the term changed to "fetus" instead of "living child" so we can move forward without any questions of consience. Let's just hope the little guys got the message and complied before their fatal chemical baths.

basically the whole point is - you get it wrong seeing the women and children as people - remeber that movie about the Hobbits, these Caanites are not human (0h they may look human, sound human etc..) but they are really more like orcs. Its moral to kill Orcs - seriously.
What makes a person an orc? Well having not God-approved versions of sex, sacrificng children to the wrong Gods (hence God would ask to destroy those children anyway), but mainly not believing what we believe.

Abortion discussion is nothing more than a debate.
It is an accusation against women.
It is a purpose to have an opportunity to strike against any woman.
Consider the fact that of the people who are born, and how much anyone really cares whether someone dies or not.
Let's talk about lives being wasted and all the efforts the living put into turning lives around.
It never seems to amaze me all this discussion concerning abortion of the unborn, and never mind the living.
It's nothing more than an attack on women who have had an abortion.

And no one could understand more than someone who has had an abortion(s).
God is a giver of life.

First, how do these support anti-lifers? This is just saying how God punished them and in the new testament, Jesus atoned for all their sins so this doesn't even matter.

There are no "anti-lifers". That's just you trying to spin the truth.
There are those who believe human beings have the right to decide what happens in their own bodies and to their own lives. And there are those who feel the need to control the lives of others to conform with their own antiquated belief system. Nobody is trying to force abortions on Christians, they just want the right to run their own lives without your input.
On the "DON'T MURDER' thing. How can you accept that your god says this on one hand and then orders and performs so many murders throughout the Bible? Isn't this hypocritical?
