In the New Testament; Matthew, Mark, and Luke relate a story of Jesus telling a rich man to sell everything he has and give to the poor (Mark 10:21, Luke 18:22, Matthew 19:21).
But in John 12:3-8, Mary Magdalen pours expensive ointment on Jesus and, when one of the disciples asks why he wouldn't rather sell the ointment and give the money to the poor, Jesus says, "For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always."
Christians love to hail Jesus as selfless and giving. This story brings new meaning to the phrase, "What would Jesus do?"
P.S. I threw in the "Follow Me" line just for kicks...

Original and funny. Well done, again.
I can't imagine the bigwig American evangelists selling all they have.
I asked you over at "Dwindling in Unbelief" (but of course I'm sure you don't get told when someone comments there) if you minded if I linked to you from my blog (this one) Your content is similar to Steve Wells' but funnier, and actually I just like comics in general.
Yes, link away!
